Smriti Zubin Irani (née Malhotra) is an Indian politician, former actress, fashion model, and television producer. She has held several significant positions in the Indian government:
Minister of Women and Child Development: Since 2019, Smriti Irani has been serving as the Minister of Women and Child Development. She has been actively involved in policies related to women’s welfare and child development1.
Minister of Minority Affairs: In 2022, she became the first non-Muslim to hold the position of Minister of Minority Affairs. This role involves addressing the needs and concerns of minority communities in India1.
